SGOD ups the notch in planning processes
True to its mandate to strengthen the organization’s capacity to strategically manage the teaching and learning environment, the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) initiated a series of trainings focused on planning processes in February of 2016.
School principals, along with their School-Based Management coordinators attended the “Division Training on the Enhanced School Improvement Planning (SIP) Process, and School Report Card (SRC)” held at SDO Conference Hall from February 9 to 11 (elementary), and at Ciudad Christhia Resort, San Mateo, Rizal, from February 11 to 13 (secondary), wherein the ICT coordinators also participated.
The training was primarily aimed at raising the school performance as a solid and very timely response to the challenges of the reformed basic education. The Education Program Supervisor, specialists, and officers of SGOD served as the resource speakers, who also led the monitoring and evaluation, and provision of technical assistance to schools in the finalization of their SIP, SRC, and Annual Improvement Plan from May 19 to 24, 2016.
Prior to the said trainings, the same participants also attended the revisit on the continuous improvement and strategic processes led by SGOD and the Curriculum Implementation Division from February 2 to 4 at SDO Conference Hall. –hrb
