MPower turns over Kinder classrooms to Malabon ES
Local retail electricity supplier Meralco MPower, its corporate social responsibility arm, One Meralco Foundation, and their partners, formally turned over two Kindergarten classrooms to Malabon Elementary School on June 16.
The said classrooms are built to help address congestion, and assist in the delivery of better quality education especially in the early childhood stage.
Known as MPower Kinder Classrooms, the project consists of the construction of one-storey, two-classroom building with toilet, fully furnished with chalkboards, shelves, tables, chairs, multimedia packages, and educational learning materials all amounting to Php1,986,608.20.
One Meralco Foundation hosted the official inauguration of the said building, and hosted the program attended by the chiefs and heads of MPower, One Meralco, and their partners namely AGC Flatglass Philippines, Inc., COFTA Original Monobloc, Discovery Centre, Eagle Cement, Eurotiles, Glades International Corp., James Hardie, Moldex Pipes, Orocan, Styrotech Corp., Miescor Logistics, Saffron Philippines, Inc., United Laboratories, and Unisteel Philippines.
Malabon City Mayor Antolin Oreta III also graced the occasion. Malabon Elementary School Principal Riza Andrade extended her gratitude to MPower and partners for their generosity. –hrb
