Continuous Improvement takes off w/ Project ASSIST
Cognizant to the Continuous Improvement (CI) Program launched by DepEd and Australian AID’s Philippines-Australia Human Resource and Organizational Development Facility (PAHRODF) in 2013, the Schools Division Office of Malabon City conducted the three-day Training Workshop on Differentiated Supervision for Instructional Leaders at Ciudad Christhia Resort, San Mateo, Rizal, from March 8 to 10, 2016.
Spearheaded by the CI Team of SDO Malabon, the training focused on the Division’s CI Project dubbed as A.S.S.I.S.T. (Aligning Supervisory Systems Towards Improvement on the Supervision of Teachers). It consists of pre-assessment, discussion on types of supervision through case studies, quadrant of teachers’ development level, cooperative professional and self-directed development, technical assistance, and plan of implementation.
The CI Team led by Education Program Supervisor Sheryll Gayola also spearheaded a simulation session amongst the participating elementary and secondary school principals on the steps to clinical supervision. –hrb
