Public-private partnerships at full throttle
DepEd Malabon and several corporations successfully forged the public-private partnership (PPP) towards the betterment of educational facilities, allowing for effective teaching and learning process in 2016 and beyond.
World Vision Development Foundation, a development and advocacy organization, donated Grolier books, encyclopedias, and other supplementary learning materials to 28 elementary schools of the Division. The school principals were also oriented on the proper and effective utilization of the said materials by World Vision representatives Aldwin Jamora and Ma. Robel Luna during the turn-over ceremony held on April 7, 2016 at SDO Conference Hall
Petbowe Trading Corporation, headed by Edwin Martinez, turned over the Petbowe / Granville Audio Visual Room to Potrero National High School on June 13, 2016. The project entailed the rehabilitation/construction of the AV Room which includes the installation of sound system, projector set, air-conditioner, wall fan, and carpentry, repairs, paintings, and electrical works totaling Php201,861.80.
On June 28, Rex Bookstore donated reading and supplementary learning materials to be housed in the mini-library of Concepcion Elementary School. The said partnership was made possible through the efforts of the Kiwanis Club of Malabon Achievers. –hrb
